End of Text Year Advice – 2023/24

We have pulled together a summary of options that might be worth considering as we close in on the end of the 2023/24 tax year. 

There are a range of opportunities, spanning a variety of financial topics, that may assist in helping to optimise your use of products and strategies.  Whether tax planning to maximise the current year’s allowances or, thinking wider in the forward planning for future years, this guide is there to draw your attention to options that you may not be currently making use of.

Following the budget, the announcement has done little in the way of affecting the current tax year plan, however, with changes to National Insurance tax, a new British ISA to name just two, there may be more to consider going forward. 

Suzanne (Suzi) joined FD Wealth at the end of 2020 as Practice Manager and was quickly promoted to Managing Director.

As MD, Suzi is responsible for the day-to-day operational strategy for, whilst supporting her team, enabling both individual and business development, and focusing on continued improvements to the client experience. This requires a thorough knowledge of the advice needs for clients and an appreciation for the challenges faced by the business / industry. She is heavily involved in ensuring regulatory compliance, investment & risk management, as well as managing the systems and processes required to deliver our services. With over 20 years experience in the profession, Suzi has gained valuable knowledge in a wide range of areas working with many expert individuals and businesses across the Central belt.

Suzi works closely with the whole team at FD Wealth and enjoys the challenges and opportunities that the changes in the industry have seen over the years. She has therefore primarily focused on developing systems, improving processes and business continuity projects for a variety of professional firms such as Scottish Equitable (AEGON), Turcan Connell Asset Management (Tcam) and Cornerstone Asset Management.

Outside work you are likely to find Suzi attempting to keep fit, travelling, or at the cinema but she also enjoys reading and catching up with friends and family and walks with the newest member of the family, Irish doodle, Arwen.
